Wellness Coaching, Life Coaching, Academic and Executive Functioning Coaching, Self-Esteem Workshops, Online Classes, and Virtual Events
Wellness Coaching can help your teen or preteen learn more about how to develop healthy habits in their life. Coaching discussions may include topics such as: morning and evening routines, sleep habits, phone/screen time (and ways to manage it better), daily movement, food choices, managing big emotions, and discovering ways in which daily meditation or mindfulness can help your teen feel calmer and handle stress and anxiety better.
Life Coaching and Wellness Coaching often overlap, and sometimes share similar topics. Life coaching can help your teen or preteen with motivation, self confidence, anxiety, identifying plans for the future, and interpersonal relationships. Coaching discussions may include topics such as: effective communication skills with friends and others, identifying strengths and weaknesses, making decisions, dealing with anxiety and overwhelm, and learning to become more resilient and able to cope with challenges and setbacks.
Academic Coaching can help your child develop better executive functioning skills, become a more organized student, and reduce the amount of overwhelm that they may feel with schoolwork, homework, and grades. Sometimes students are not performing well in school because they simply lack the organizational systems that they need to help them be successful. Academic Coaching can help your middle or high school student develop those systems so that he or she can be a more successful student, improve their motivation, and increase self-confidence as it relates to school.

Wellness Coaching and Life Coaching can help our teens and preteens become more confident, develop healthier habits, learn to manage their emotions, their stress, and their anxiety, cope with changing friendships, handle challenges resiliently, and more! Coaching gives your child a safe, open space to talk about their experiences and the struggles they feel, as well as to develop goals, create an action plan for changes, and learn tools that they can use throughout everyday life.
Academic Coaching can help your teen or preteen especially if he/she is struggling in school. Academic Coaching focuses on the current state of their school performance, things that they would like to change, and ways in which they can reach their full potential as a student. We will set clear and attainable goals, work towards improvements in small steps, and create organizational systems that your teen can use to help them become a more successful student.
Yes! Academic Coaching is not just for students who are struggling academically. Some of our most high-performing students feel overwhelmed with stress, anxiety about their grades, and perfectionism. Academic Coaching can help your son or daughter approach school with a calmer outlook, use strategies to reframe their thoughts and self-talk, and stay organized and on top of their game without sacrificing self-care and well-being.
Coaching sessions are $150 per session. All sessions are held via zoom, and are 50 minutes in length, usually once a week (sometimes clients prefer twice a week, which is an option as well). I usually recommend an 8-10 week commitment to weekly sessions, and sessions can be purchased individually or as part of package. We can discuss packages during our consultation call.
During our 20 minute consultation call, I will answer all of your questions about coaching, and how it can help your teen/preteen. I will ask you to give me an overview of your child's current situation, and the areas in which you feel they need help. I will also be able to give you a general idea of how I can help with coaching. There is NO obligation with this phone call - it is just for your information and so that you can feel fully informed before making a decision about whether coaching is right for your child! Coaching and therapy are not the same thing, and no, I am not a psychologist, psychiatrist, or therapist. As a coach, I do not treat psychological disorders, or discuss medication or treatment plans.
My qualifications as a school counselor, certified professional coach, and yoga and meditation teacher allow me to work with students on life skills that help them become better versions of themselves and perform at their best academically, socially, and emotionally.
If your child is struggling with a psychological disorder such as clinical depression, a diagnosed anxiety disorder, eating disorder, substance abuse, recovery from physical or sexual abuse, PTSD, or any other diagnosed psychological disorder, therapy with a psychologist or psychiatrist would be the more appropriate route.
